The significance of being long-term
It is in many ways more adaptive to approach SLDs from the view point that SLDs are probably not going to resolve within a short period of time. Therefore, look at the long-term plan.
Accurate assessment
- Accurate assessment is valuable because there are various forms of dyslexia and various forms of SLDs
- Various forms of SLDs are suggestive of somewhat different approaches to management, modifications and forms of remediation used to address the SLD
- Accurate assessment provides the foundation for on-going monitoring and review of progress
